iphone 4 copy phone contacts to sim - how to

hi there,

does anyone know how I can copy phone contacts to sim card on the iphone 4?

in the settings options theres only 1 option that imports sim contacts but no option to export them.

please help

You can't from the phone, use iTunes/Google sync. If you tell us the phone you're going to we can advise the best method.

You're going from an iPhone 4 to another one or did you mis-read my question? If it's 4 to 4 use the backup and restore system built into iTunes. Apple should have told you this if it was a replacement handset as part of the system they have in place though.

i am not going to another phone its from iphone 4 to iphone 4

its not a replacement handset.

i want to copy the phone contacts to the sim card are you saying i need to use the backup facility within itunes? so backup phone contacts to sim card?

is that correct?

Nothing is really stored on the sim anymore. It's all in the phones DB.

Just fire up itunes that the phone is configured through and tell it to do a backup. Shut it down, take out the sim, put it in the new phone and setup the new phone. Using iTunes follow the onscreen options to get it to restore the settings/programs/music etc to the new phone.

My contacts are stored on an Exchange server though, so some of what I have written might be different for you.

There an App in the App store cant remeber what its called but does what you want it to do. Its free as well.

Did you just renew your contract and get another iPhone 4? Am genuinely a bit puzzled by this one

The backup and restore is really really easy on iTunes, you'll be fine with it.

whats this CSI or flipping sherlock holmes....i only wanted to find out a procedure so why do you NEED to know the particulars..your like my nan lol
