iPhone 4 ear speaker not working.

Hi guys,

My wife's earpiece speaker has stopped working (iPhone 4)

Last time this happened I think we managed to clear it by blowing in the headphone jack.? ....but that still hasn't fixed it this time.

Any suggestions please.?

I had a very similar thing with my 3gs where the headphones wouldn't work unless I jiggled about the plug to find the sweet spot where they would then work, took the phone into an Apple store to be told it was the ear piece board that was knackered! After hearing that I thought sod it, it's broke and I can't do any more harm so opened up a paper clip and gave the headphone socket a real good dig around and managed to get loads of pocket fluff out and since had no issues. I've one of those lighted table mounted magnifying glasses and even with this I couldn't see the fluff until I started digging around and started to dislodge it, it was all quite firmly packed in there.

Not saying this may be your issue but could be worth a try, hope it helps anyway.

Arh more haste on my part needed, sorry I just reread your post and it's the speaker not working correct? my bad, I'll get my coat :confused: Have a free bump on me :)
