Guys, what companies are the best for iPhone insurance? There isn't a rats chance in hell that I am going to pay O2 £15 a month for insurance

Am planning on ringing my house insurance provider tomorrow in the hope that it can be covered on there. Fingers crossed :)

Check the level of phone insurance. IIRC, Lloyds TSB current account phone insurance will only cover an amount up to £360 for the handset.

They used to.
They now cover all phone including the full value of the iphone 4.
I made sure of that when I phoned and added my iphone on the insurance today!

Has anyone tried iphoneinsurancecover.co.uk ? The website seems legit however they make no mention of iPhone 4 insurance only 2G, 3G and 3GS.

Crikey on the O2 one you still have to pay an excess. I am wondering whether Hiscox will cover it. After all I have been reading about the glass I am scared now.

Currently have this with RBS.

Mobile Phone Insurance – you're covered for one mobile phone and SIM card against accidental or malicious damage, loss and theft up to a maximum retail value of £1000 (including VAT). You're also covered for up to £1500 (including VAT) of unauthorised calls per claim for monthly contract phones and up to £100 (including VAT) for pay-as-you-go.
I've only been paying £5 insurance on all my phones from o2 for the last 5 years.
When I first signed up it was called Gold Insurance which meant I could upgrade my handset every 6 months. That perk ended, insurance still remained £5, switched to the 3G and it still stayed a fiver.
When I got my 4 on Thursday the fella asked if I wanted to pay the £15 for insurance. I politely declined.
For the £12 I pay a month with my bank I get phone insurance,Green Flag cover, Holiday Insurance, Extra 2 years extended warranty on purchases of household electrical items. Plus a whole heap of other benefits.
No brainer really.
My suggestion:
Have a chat with your banks, see what they have to offer.

Does anyone else have any other Insurance ideas?

The Barclays phone insurance only covers to £250 :(
Is this through a bank account, or a separate insurance policy?
I've just registered mine through an additions account, and it doesn't mention a £250 limit:confused:
Well, it does, but that is for phone accessories.

Just called my insurance

£4 per month extra
Covers full cost of handset, lost, stolen, damage
Cover for UK and Europe
£150 unauth'd calls
10% excess

Sounds ok to me

Rubbish. It covers the loss of the entire phone, unauthorised calls up to £2000, and accessories up to £250. You have to pay a £25 excess, though.

Check the website: http://www.lifestylegroup.co.uk/barclays/

Cheers for that link mate. I shall register the details through that :)

The £25 excess is better than the outrageous £100 excess O2 want you to pay seriously are they on crack!?
