iPhone 4 Insurance?

As per link from Gas, anyone on Barclays additions account (which start from £5pm) should ring up or register online. Its well worth it. I am on the premier and through that link just regsitered a bunch of my gadgets too!

Thank Gas.

Cheers for that link as well (Barclays one)

Signing up to them myself now as my account with them qualifies :)

Thumbs up for Barclays. Even their current account plus (£5pm) will cover the phone once registered :D

O2 are doing it for £10/month on the IP4.

Those of you who say O2 insurance are awful. I'm not being funny but you must have said something stupid on the phone. I've made two claims of accidental damage and had a brand, spanking new iPhone delivered to my door within 24 hours on each occasion. Pretty incredible service if you ask me and well worth the monthly premium.

In relation to the barcleys bank insurance, vie just discovered my smile.co.uk account qualitfies for them as well. So thanks for the heads up!

I checked my home insurence, and altho it's listed it wouldn't be covered for Anything that would happen to it ouside the house like having it stolen, water damage etc etc, stolen whist in a car etc etc.

Rang my house insurance company today and any mobile phone is covered in my policy, up to £1,500 without specifying. Sorted :)

Our home Halifax insurance only covers up to £500 and doesn't cover water damage. He said there's no option to increase coverage :(.

I have just called O2 and it's £15.
Honestly just put it on your home insurance.

I spoke to them the other day about something and I asked if the excess was still £25 like it was when I claimed a year ago and it's not.

For the first claim the excess is £100 for a 32GB and £70 for a 16GB, and it goes up £25 every time you claim...

Contents Insurance is nearly always better

Always read the policy before you buy mobile "insurance" because some of the offers do not meet the definition on actual insurance for legal purposes. This is important because Insurers are regulated by the Financial Services Authority and if there's a problem you can complain to them or the Ombudsman. If there's no mention of the FSA in the policy be very wary about signing up.

You should check with your contents insurer before you accept any insurance from a phone operator as 90% of the time you're already covered at no extra cost.
