Well I'm just lying in bed looking around OCUK with some music on the speaker (low volume) and my arm gets restless holding the phone so I move my hand and the music cuts out...

The music didn't cut out at all, I managed to put my finger over one of the speakers... Haha problem solved??? No... Upon further investigation only the right speaker plays sound.... Is this common with other folks iPhones?

Just wondering if I need to pay apple a visit.... Or if I am missing something...

Take it back to the Apple Store and complain :p

It's one thing that annoys me about my 3GS and iPhones in general, if it's in my pocket in a certain way that the one small speaker hole gets blocked it drastically reduces the ring volume.

Playing games is bad too, you holding it in landscape you hand obviously coveres it, completely killing the sound......yt again...Apple make ya hold it a certain way....I kid I kid.

But really...what stop them putting the speaker half way up the sides?..perfect for sound and usability.

You kid but your right, it's a design flaw. The number of times I've thought I'd knocked the vibrate button on when playing landscape game when really my finger was over the speaker. Never had any issues like that with any previous phone I've owned (with the speaker being muted when it's in your pocket that is).
