Iphone 4s from the US

I am going to NY this weekend, and am tempted to buy an unlocked 4s. It is from the apple store.

Does anyone know if it will work here in the uk with an orange micro sim?

It is designed as a world phone, so afaik it should.

If it is purchased unlocked , of course it will work in the UK

the Unlocked Iphones aren't available yet in the USA.

Exactly, they aren't available yet - Unlocked in the States. No official announcement has been made either. So it's speculation "Sometime in November".

Remember also that unlike MacBooks, the warranty on an iPhone is not worldwide - it's only for the country it was purchased in.

Applecare will get round this issue no??.. Ask in store to confirm. Plus it's cheaper there anyway!
