iPhone 4S Getting Hot?

My iPhone 4S has started getting quite hot over the past few days when gaming on it. It's only ever gotten warm before, but now it gets hotter and hotter until it crashes whatever game i'm playing.

Is this normal? Should I be looking to take it back to the Apple store? Even just typing this it's getting quite warm. :/

Would try restoring it first before thinking of returning it.

Take it back , prepare for them to do a diagnostics test before telling you it's fine because the overheating warning hasn't shown up

Take it back again and prepare then to eventually give in and swap it for a refurb

Not that I know off , they usually show that error triangle message long before crashing , it's just how apple treat things .
