What do you guys think of three mobiles network?

There contract gives 2000 minutes to any network, 5000 three to three mins (practicly unlimited) 5000 texts (practicly unlimited)

All you can eat data which is what 15GB compared to 500mb on tmobile(lol)

That is all for £40 a month then add insurance ontop of that which makes it about £52 a month.

Tmobile are offering me an upgrade which is £40.85 a month plus £12.99 Inusrance so its one pound extra BUT....

900 Minutes LOL
500mb Data
Unlim Texts
Internet etc

That is so crap...

Im thinking of leaving Tmobile and moving to three what do you think? of tere network guys?

Is that Three contract worth it it would be £40 without insurance basicaly.

Im enjoying three after a year, the coverage isnt everywhere i had it on orange but its certainly not a problem, and the internets a lot faster

The network is fast when you get signal. But the coverage isn't as extensive as the other four networks.

Three phones used to drop onto Orange 2G when there was no Three 3G signal. But now they're phasing that out in areas where they think their own network is strong enough. In my area they've got it wrong - my test Three SIM card gets a maximum of one bar of Three signal in the right place, with no option of dropping onto Orange. So check your coverage!

Screw insurance at that price, just claim off your contents insurance if you're unfortunate to lose it. No way in hell I'd spend more than £35 PM tbh for a phone!

That aside, I've been with three for the the last 9 years, and they've only got better tbh. 3G coverage is generally fantastic for me. CS is OK also, not that I've needed to call them since I renewed in August 2010 for my iPhone 4!

The 3G coverage is great. Three is the only network which has any 3G coverage where I am. The problem is that when there isn't 3G coverage, there's often no coverage at all.

Their network is 100% 3G - it's that or nowt. They used to use other networks to fill the gaps but don't anymore since they extended their own.

They used to use orange masts but were booted when they bought t-mobile to make way for them. Now they are having to build their own masts.

Being someone who does temp work for a company who surveys, designs and builds these masts for all the mobile companies, this is BS.

You can get the same deal on Three for £35 a month. The phone is £99 upfront rather than £49 on that deal, but if you go through Quidco you get £109 cash back!

I'm using three on my Iphone4S i find them to be really good around my area but i guess it all depends on where you live. You'd be best trying there coverage checker to see what its like around you.

Slightly envious of that. I've never seen more than 2.5Mb on O2, and that was in central London. In most places I don't get more than 1.5.

i was a bit duboius of ordering from three as i had heard bad things a while ago but the deal they off was so good i thought i would risk it so i ordered a new iphone 4s when it came out and i am really happy with the service i have recieved so far

So far my 4S needs put into Airplane mode now and then to get the network to work with data right. But so for I've managed 4.37Mbps down and 1.65Mbps up.

Also my MAJOR gripe is the 4S has issues with a lot of Netgear routers and my crappy Virgin one is a netgear :(

I was told by my parents' Virgin engineer that you can disable the routing parts of the Virgin Superhub (like a passthrough cable modem) and plug your own router into it.
