iPhone 4s scratched screen

I've had my iPhone 4S for a while now and it's a little bit beat up. The back is scratched however I've ordered a new back and from looking online they're very easy to replace so that's not much of an issue.

The screen however has never been protected so it's quite scratched with a few deep scratches.

Is it possible to just replace the glass or on an iPhone 4s does it all need to be replaced?

Cheers

Thanks for the replys guys. Looking online replacing the front seems more hard to do and I don't think I'd trust myself to do it.

From looking online it seems to cost about £60 which I think is a good price - But how can I know for sure genuine parts are going to get used?

Take it to apple if you want genuine

If you take it to Apple they will not repair it for you. The only thing they will do is give you a refurb replacement unit, which will be in great condition but will cost you £150 odd or something like that (a previous post of mine I had the prices, but they may have changed now).

I'd say that you will be able to find genuine replacement parts online, but keep in mind that the cheaper parts will probably not be genuine, and may use TN panels instead of the IPSs, which are noticeably worse (think iPod touch 4th gen vs 4S and the difference will be the same). Not terrible, but not quite as good.

I called a few places around today and all of them said the screens they can replace them with aren't genuine however they claim I wouldn't be able to notice a difference...

Not sure what to think

The Parts i would use are non genuine but are virtually just as good.
You shouldn't see a difference but the colour of the glass may be slightly diff at the most.

The Part cost around £25 for a decent one with a decent warranty.

I charge £40 for a new screen fitted on a 4s and offer a 6 month warranty in my local area, I do a mail in service as well *wink wink*

I used iphonefixed.co.uk a while back. They have a seperate option for genuine oem parts.

These weren't new however. They had none of protective plastic etc. Probably just salvaged from old iphones.

edit: seems like its £65 now.
