iPhone 4s Windows 7 Home Sharing not working

Hiya,

Anyone got any tips?

Windows 64bit Ultimate. I'm using iTunes 10.6.04. Home sharing is enabled.

iPhone is on 5.0.1 (jailbroken).

I've never got home sharing to work, but I'm giving it a concerted go this weekend... still not getting anywhere.

Have turned it off and on again in every conceivable fashion, both the iPhone, the PC and iTunes.

I'm running out of ideas...

Is Windows firewall blocking the connection?

Good one. I hadn't checked that...

But no, iTunes is checked as an allowed program...

But I've fixed it I think.

I turned my ESET personal firewall off, then restarted the iPhone and iTunes.

I then got the shared option available on the phone. Which works.

Turned ESET back on and we're all good.
