iPhone 4S Work Exhange Server and Gmail?

I've just got a 4S as an upgrade from a Blackberry and am wondering how to configure my personal Gmail account. I currently have the e-mail setup for my work exchange server but what's the best / correct way to add a G Mail account onto the phone?

Set it up as a second account, you can have multiples, but rather than selecting the GMail option, select Exchange again and set it up that way, using m.google.com for the server.

You get much better syncing that way and proper push email.
