iphone 5 21k contacts

If each contact takes up 25kb then the whole lot will be approximately 0.5Gb. Should be fine.
 
Umm. I have over 50k contacts on my phone.

It's called being able to search the directory, from the phone book application ;)
 
As an update.

The phone was having none of it. 21k is too much.

I tried to all possible ways, for a good 3 hours, Just sat there saying synching contacts, but with a deadline I had to give up.

Blackberry is much better for this type of thing at least. It shows you a progress status, so at least you know it's doing it.

Itunes nothing. Your in limbo, is it / isnt it!

Searching isn't hard. It still seems incredibly pointless to put so many contacts in a phone. If I need a number for something work related I can log into the relevant system in a browser and get numbers, emails and addresses etc, personally I would never want all that cluttering my phone.

It's arguably more secure to have the details stored in a company system too, to prevent or at least make it harder for employees to dump all the contact information for should they become disgruntled etc.
 
21k contacts in a phone, nothing short of ridiculous and not what any phone is designed for.
If this is your customer base, and you have a customer base of over 21k contacts, surely your company is savvy enough to realise that having your whole database on potential customers on every phone is a major risk?

That is the stupidest thing i have ever heard.

You would never need 21k contacts in your phone, i'd be amazed if it could handle it.
Get your company to make an app or other database with them in.
