Have an iPhone 5 but the original charger has gone missing so I'm looking for a replacement online but every product I've seen has mixed reviews.

I picked one up from the local supermarket on the way home but it doesn't work every time so what do people recommend?

Thanks

As long as you have a decent cable, any USB charger that gives a good output will be more than fine.

Something from another smartphone/tablet/kindle device would be fine.

As far as I can tell, the iPhone will only charge as fast as the standard 1A charger allows, so anything more will work as well, but won't change charging time (at least not substantially, but maybe by a minute for a full charge - or seem to be quicker even though its actually just psychological :p).

The iPhone 6 and 6+ have been designed to accept a 2.1A input, which is what the iPads use, so it will charge faster.
