iPhone 5 How do I know 4G works?

I think the current (/old!) iPhone 5 will also work on Three's 4G network, when it gets going... as they have some of EE's band (or at least one of them).

I think (hope) so too. Got an email from 3 saying they are upgrading me to 4G for free as an existing customer. I have an Iphone 5

Three are upgrading everyone though. They probably caveat it saying you need a compatible handset, it just happens the iPhone 5 will be.

It's not their fault if we're being completely honest.

I don't think it is entirely your fault though. It's like HMV selling you a US Region DVD and assuming you know it won't work on a UK player. I know SIM only is just the SIM but the only device on the market that uses Nano SIMs will never work on Vodafone 4G.

What happened to the UK? It use to be at the forefront of cellular tech, now its behind the US.

I think Apple has some part in how quickly they've advanced 4G LTE in the USA. A lot of places, even out in the sticks, I get LTE.

4G and 4G LTE are two different things.

4G can be HSPA+, which is really like an upgraded 3G.. 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) is what you want. I remember getting speeds of nearly 50mb, when the iPhone 5 first came out, before anyone was on it. Only lasted a day or two mind.. But it sure was impressive.

Just done a test, 14MB d/L 7MB u/l
