put my phone on charge last night and woke up this morning with a nearly flat phone. my cable has stopped working. (ive tried it in several plugs and usb).

looked on apple site and they are £15! which is ridiculous.

ive no idea how its broke as it just sits by my bed and is never touched only to plug it in to phone.

ive only had it 5-6 months, will apple replace it for free?

Mine arrived with a dodgy cable, would intermittently charge but more often not. Replaced instantly at Apple without them even testing it

I had similar issue, thinking it was my cable or the phone itself, I had an appointment booked at the Apple Store. It turned out the port of the phone was full off fluff stopping the cable making a proper contact. I'd have felt a bit of a nob if I'd have gone to the Apple Store and they diagnosed 'fluff' :>

Might be worth a poke about in your port with some stiff paper or something :>
