Iphone 5 only charges when powered off

I don't understand. It only charges when powered off. Won't connect to my computer when on or won't charge when on.

Is this from a computer or from a wall socket?
Ipads when conneceted tomcomputers do not charge, its an apple feature, unsure if it the same for phones, need to turn them off to tet them to charge.
From the wall they will charge if on or off, unsure if iphone five is the same.

Iphone 5 charges on/off from anything. It was working for the past 4months charging when on which is normal, now it doesnt

Ah interesting, then off down the apple shop for you me thinks, it's well within its year warrenty

Yep, apple store for this.

Certainly an odd one, they will likely ask you to do a restore first to see if that fixes it
