Hi

Over past few days I have noticed my iPhone struggles to get even one bar of signal not matter where I am.

My partner (also with a launch day same model 5 and same network) gets full signal even when both phones are put together.

I have tried a restore. Is this a common problem and has anyone else had this issue? Just a quick google search throws up loads of 'similar issues'.

I've noticed the reception on my iPhone 5 is generally Excellent or non existant, I've had every iPhone since the 3g and the 5 is the first one to do this.

I had problems with my ip5 spontaneously dropping out while talking to people, this never happend with my 4s. I took it back to Apple and they replaced. Replacement seems better *touches wood*

Interestingly today I was with a friend who has a 4s and is on the same network as me (Vodafone) We compared signal, He had full 3g, I had 3 Bars of edge, turning the phone on and off did nothing to change that.

I've got a 64gb ip5 and the first one had No Network displayed for a lot of the time in places where other phones reported a full signal and where I've had no signal issues previously. Turning Airplane mode on and then off or a two button restart brought the signal back but didn't really think anything of it and put it down to a less sensitive antenna on the iPhone.

I ended up returning it to the Apple store because of the lock button failing intermittantly. After wiping the device in the store, during the activation process, it didn't display any wifi networks and this was repeated in the settings/wifi menu once activated over cellular.

The replacement seems to be ok so far and have only seen 'No Network' once and this was in a known signal blackspot.

My Mrs has problems with the iPhone5 regarding signal. I guess it comes down to where abouts your cellular signal towers are based ?

I was having issues, but then I got prompted through iTunes to update cellular settings. The T-Mobile icon was replaced with EE and it's been golden since. (Except at work, where it's always been absolutely dire. Can barely text. :-( )
