iPhone 5 specific dock/speakers?

I have some Logitech thing at the moment with the old 30 pin connector. I want a new dock with the Lightning connector as standard I don't want to use some f'ugly converter and pay £25 for the pleasure. Is there any speaker docks out there with a clock that are iPhone 5 specific? Clock is not required but definitely desirable.

Rumour going around is that apple are dropping the idea of docks in favour of promoting their air play .. We might see some charging only docking solution.

The future of the dock as we know it depends on the legalities I guess

Well that's just terrible. I like to leave mine on charge over night on my speaker dock and let the alarm play over the speakers to wake me up.

Yes but apple want to dominate other market places, its not about what people want, just how they can utilise their patent network to best effect.

They're just too controlling now and it's not as if they're putting out the best product aswell. Can't see me getting another iPhone after the 5.

Well I had a conversation on Monday with an Apple Genius. I queried the options for getting a new ipod to work with my 30 pin based dock.

He said that it would probably work ... if it was recent... by bluetooth.

My docks do not have bluetooth... but irrespective, you can't (and won't ever be able to) charge over bluetooth.

So it is a step backwards. Current solution is drop ipod into dock... it charges and can be controlled by the dock remote.

New solution bluetooth or airplay. Separate charging solution. No remote control.

How is that progress ?
