Handing back my work phone so :(

So I'll be in need of something new. I'm currently looking at the iphone4 (phone only. As I'd rather not be held down by some rip off contract). Whilst researching the phone I came across news (or should i say rumors) of the Iphone5!

So my question is this...... Will Apple release this?

I'm guessing they probably will. They're the masters of milking their products.

When do you think they'll release it?

they normally release a new iphone in june, but having just released a white iphone 4 and even before that there were rumours that an iphone 5 will be released in september. Due to delays and the earthquake in Japan i heard. not sure how true the earthquake rumour is

Apple never seem to leak a release date and only announce it 1-2 weeks before release as not to hurt sales to their current phone

I dont see how japan relates to the iphone or apple when its all made by foxcon in China. You know the place where they keep throwing them self off the roof

Thoughts guys - http://www.three.co.uk/Phones/iPhone

Must be a reason why their packages are so cheap..... Whats the catch?

I've only ever used T-Mobile and O2. What is the 3 Network like?

Make sure they are new handsets.

"What is a refreshed iPhone?

It's an iPhone that has been used but all data from the previous owner has been removed. The phone has been checked and approved to a certain standard by Apple, but some devices may have minor scratches. Your refreshed iPhone will be repackaged and it will come with new accessories as well as a 12 month warranty."

Not every single component is made by Foxconn. Their factories assemble the iPhones but components are supplied by other companies, many of them with factories damaged by the disasters in Japan.

I can't imagine them delaying the iphone 5 by much if at all. They've got stiff competition from HTC etc and aren't going to lose the upper hand in the market by delaying the iphone 5. I'm planning / hoping it'll be released in June and then make the decision between a new HTC or iPhone 5.

Just buy ip4 through one of the cheaper retails. Keep in protective case and screen guard. When ip5 comes out sell ip4 for very little loss and upgrade. I got mine for 460 but have seen them even cheaper than that. This is what I have done, no. Point waiting and ip5 might not even be worth having.

However I agree I would expect to see it sooner rather than later due to android dual cores and apps being designed for iPad with dual cores. So it make sense for them to get a dual core ip out ASAP.

Maybe they will just shock everyone and not release the ip5 this year , After they have just had the ip4 in white enter the market and also the release of the ipad 2 and new imac on its way.

but as for selling an ip4 to get one i wouldnt bother so quick wait untill its been tried and tested before you rush into getting one .

As most people know there release items are not always the best

There are new macs & ipads etc every year. They still manage to bring out a new phone each year.

For very little loss? If the iP5 costs about the same as the iP4 does now, isn't the iP4 going to fall quite a bit in value once the iP5 is out?

You would be surpised, new 16gb 3GS still go for £280-320 on eBay and used ones around £250.

They were going for more just before the iPhone 4s release, which was the smart time to sell.
