iPhone 5c earpiece speaker intermittently not working?

As the title, the earpiece speaker periodically stops working, if I put the phone on loudspeaker, I can hear, the earpiece speaker seems silent though.

It's running IOS 8.4 and otherwise has until recently (this week) been working fine.

Is it time to get it fixed?

I think a call to the Apple store is in order.

I had the same issue on my 4, the 4s started to make the people sound like dalek's.

Belated update....

Apple wanted £130 to courier the phone back to them and then no guarantee it wouldn't cost more...

I thought **** that! As its out of warranty I've had the ribbon cable inside replaced for £25 by a local store, works perfectly now!
