Okay, for starters, I am not stupid enough to fall for Apples spell, thousands of people who purchased an iphone 6/iphone 6 + this morning obviously have by dishing out between £600/800 on what was advertised as a device which is 'Bigger than Bigger'.

I live in Liverpool and Liverpool ONE's Apple store was packed outside with people overnight for awaiting the 'BIG' launch of a phone which has old tech.

Any ways, what I do not understand, is that recently Apple have purchased Beats by Dre for what I believe was $3billion. So why has this new iphone 6/+ not have the newly acquired Beats sounds technology implemented into there newest device?

I am happy with my Samsung Galaxy S4 and would not bother touching an iphone, as I believe Android/Google own the smartphone industry.

Was there any actual technology? I was under the impression it was just an equaliser setting on the HTC's, a bad one at that?

Essentially the HTC with Beats thing was pure marketing, Apple don't exactly need help polishing a turd :p

Beats on my M7 is pretty poor anyway, it sounds like a poor equalizer profile, I always have it disabled when I'm using headphones. I suspect it will be the same for future Apple devices when it has "Beats" inside.

Beats on the HTC is utter pointless. I swear the audio without beats has just been artificially made worse just to make Beats appear to be better.

I wondered if we'd get an Apple bashing thread in here today... This one has a bit of a twist though. :p

All I'll say is... you enjoy your S4. ;)

I though beats on the One X was ok, I don't even remember my M7 having beats :o

The best EQ imo is MAXX AUDIO which ships with the oppo.

The tech in the new iPhones isn't old. 20-band LTE is a massive achievement and its 64-bit CPU is still ahead of the pack.

You never noticed the Beats branding on the bottom part of the phone's back :p?

There's a switch for it as well in the device settings.
