iPhone 6 sim free?

I noticed an iPhone 6 sold on the rainforest direct.

It says "Sim Free but locks to network of first sim used".

How would one go about unlocking this then? What would be the best first sim to use in this case?

The best first sim to use would be the one you intend to use all the time.

Depending on who you go with, different carriers will have different unlock prices and times.

If you are going to buy sim-free, buy from apple, then your Iphone wont lock to the first sim card used.

You could always look into the network that charges the least to unlock an iPhone and get a pay as you go sim from them?
