iPhone 6 slow mo vid messes up when sharing, how to fix?

I'm trying to share some slow mo iphone 6 vids from the latest iOS 8 and it keeps messing up.

I sent one copy of the vid to a friend through Whatsapp but when I played it back through Whatsapp after it uploaded the slow mo kicked in at the start marker, but didn't to back to normal playback speed at the stop marker, making the video really long.

I shared the same vid direct via iMessage to another person and the slow mo didn't even kick in at all when I played that one back in the iOS 8 messages app.

It seems really unreliable and inconsistent and complete ruins the video your trying to share.

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix it?

I have this issue too, when sending it to someone, the slow-mo kicks in at completely different time to the original.

Download iMovie on the iphone and export the video - it will save without the slow mo markers and will play as intended when you send it to anyone. Otherwise some devices don't read the slow mo file properly and play it back at normal speed with the 120/240fps.
