Hi, the hotspot on my iPhone 6 is rubbish. Most of the time I have to reboot the phone to get other devices to see it. Then if I turn a device that's tethered to it off and on again, the hotspot dissapears. This is on all devices that I'm using to conenct to it. Any ideas?

No fix i'm afraid, but I also have the same problems and just end up connecting the devices together using bluetooth.

I think if you want to use your iPhone as a WiFi hotspot then you have to actually be on the personal hotspot menu when you're trying to tether a device to your phone. Once the device is connected, you can navigate away from the hotspot menu freely. At least that's how it seems to work for me.

It's by design to save power I think. The personal hotspot shuts down if the iPhone goes to sleep or auto-locks.

In which case that's just plain stupid by Apple. If the phone says that the hotspot is active, I'd expect it to be active.

It's not so much if the phone locks. If I connect to it, and stay connected, it works fine. The issue is if I close my laptop, or turn the hotspot off and then later put it back on. It's always when I try and reconnect that it doesn't work. Drives me potty.
