iPhone 6S no data connection

Hi all

My iPhone 6S appears to have completely lost the ability to obtain a mobile data connection on Three. I've got a strong signal and the APN settings are correct (access point three.co.uk with no username and password). It worked fine yesterday (albeit quite slow). When I swap my sim into my Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, the data connection works absolutely fine with 25mbps down and 4mbps up.

I've tried resetting network settings and I've even set the phone up as new, but there's still no mobile data connection.

Does anyone know what might be going on?

i've had a similar issue a few times over the years with 3, moreso when I get a new phone. Have you tried speaking to them about it? Could be the network, your specific handset, location.... I'd probably go into a shop and talk to them about it as the overseas phone centres are useless at the best of times

Well given I can pop the sim into my Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 and it works absolutely fine, I'm inclined to think there's an issue with the 6S. Unfortunately I'm away in Scotland at the minute so I'll have to wait until I get home to take it to an Apple store to get it seen to.
 
that could be indicative of a problem with the 3 network though, no? especially in scotland when I had it up there it wasn't fantastic (many years ago though!)

But what could be causing an iPhone to have no data but another phone to work fine? I'm going to have to wait until I get home tomorrow to sort it out anyway.

sorry i totally misread that post - i thought you meant when you put a vodaphone sim in it worked :rolleyes:

in that case yeah, it sounds like the handset - take it back
 
Something similar happened to me on Tuesday (i think any way)

I had no data connection but could accept and make calls etc... When I looked into it there was also a problem with WiFi so it wasn't a net work problem as such. Ultimately I solved the problem by deleting my VPN app and all seemed to work perfectly afterwards.
 
You could try taking it back to factory settings and wiping everything, but you've reset your network settings so it may just be a total waste of time to do so.
