My daughter has just fetched me her phone, it is on the lock screen, when you press the home button or the numbers on the screen it just reads them out aloud.
Can i fix this at home before i take it back to the Apple store?
Tell Siri "Siri Turn Off VoiceOver" or from what I remember you have to press digit and while having it pressed you ought to tap with the other hand anywhere on the screen on something to that effect.
