Ordered mine (16gb black) yesterday from a store online and it arrived today. Loving going from the iphone 6 back to smaller iphone 5 size. 64gb > 16gb is also better as I have got rid of all the crappy apps I didnt use, backed up photos to my pc and added some new music which I havent done in ages.

Was it like this with previous iPhone releases? , this being my first iPhone I wouldn't know.
Anyway, you can get one straight away if stock comes in store. Not ideal but if you check a couple of times every morning by selecting the iPhone you want and then checking Apple store locations for stock, if it says available now, you can buy, and it reserves the phone so you can pick it up on the day.
I noticed loads of stores got delivery on Wednesday morning, and I managed to reserve one at around 10.30am. It was pot luck I was on my computer at that time of day and checking stock, you just have to be really quick if you see some available as they go in a minutes.

iPhone 6 was like this. I remember checking the stock of the nearest two stores every day to see if one I wanted would come in stock. It eventually did and I had to queue at the side in store (with about 4 others) to buy the one I had reserved. That was a few weeks after release.

same for me with the 6, ended up buying it sim free from carphone warehouse, big mistake as it locked to the first network i used it on!

Just buy one online new for the same price and free next day delivery
I did this for my two phones.. little chance of me going into an Apple store.

Not really taken any notice until now but i kinda got an itch to buy something,but not sure what 
So this SE, it's basically an iPhone 6 software wise, but it's an a 4"screen size, is that an iPhone 4 or 5 sort of size?
I've had a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 on Android since December (£125 brand new) but it is a little bit big, being a 6+ size...
All this being said, I haven't looked at prices yet
To be fair, £439 isn't too bad...Certainly wouldn't buy one brand new though #CheapSkate
