iphone 7 home button advice please.

Hi, I replaces my sons iPhone7 screen with this one.

The original home button doesn't now work as you know, so I thought id try this button.

The new button doesn't make any difference. Is there a setting I have to change to enable it

In fact, this is a second button, the first one i thought was faulty and they kindly replaced it with this one and it still doesn't work.

You need to salvage the home button from the original display

The home button is paired to the Secure Enclave on the logic board, you need to remove it from the old display and install on the new one

Not something that’s needed in my employee capacity, as we install authentic displays , so couldn’t tell you.
Gut feeling is nothing too difficult if your familiar with the inside of a iPhone

Ifixit has a guide probably.
All I would say is be careful as I know the home button flex is really delicate

Just a follow up to my original post.
I found a replacement home button for the iPhone 7.
No finger ID but that doesn't matter to me.
