I wish I could but my 6 is getting rubbish, the battery plays up a bit and after 2 years I'm craving something new. It's very annoying though being a 2 year upgrader and being used to a bigger change. I have a 6S for work and it's not much of a change from the 6.
They got the size wrong, thinking everyone wanted a big phone and back tracked with the SE which seems to have done very well. Now you have a device which already has a crap battery life and you can't charge and play while using lightening headsets.
I only have to look around my office to see the number of people using a phone on charge most of the day while listening to music or watching tv on the sly. So the option is a blue tooth headset which you have to have batteries or maintain the charge on.
Again this is creating a new solution for a problem that didn't exist. The adapter is good but unless I can charge and use it, then it's pointless.
I think I will change manufacturer, not just because of this it will be one of the points. New car has lcd with phone mirroring and car play and using iPhone is so locked down compared to android.

'Experts' said the same when Apple killed the built in optical drive on laptops and didn't take up Mobile Flash. Look where those two tech items are now
It's not large enough to remove. It's about 3 times the width of the jack if I remember correctly. Opened the phone a few times.
Personally, I don't see the use case for that at all.
