iPhone alarm only vibrates once since 15.1 update

All settings I can find have vibrate on
Have also tried doing a custom vibration but didn’t help; again just a small vibration
Motor is fine as it worked when setting up custom vibration

Was absolutely fine prior to update

My normal ring tone and vibration quietens markedly when I pick up the phone ( but haven't pressed the button to connect the call ) Maybe something similar with the alarm setting ?

Nope it vibrates just the once even if untouched
I have it under my pillow so it makes me and only me
