Bit of a weird one this, and not sure if it's just me or if anyone else has this, but as of this morning my iPhone 3G alarm isn't working.

I don't know if it's due to the new decade or what but I'd be grateful if other people could see if there's is working?

Thanks

Côte d'Ivoire actually :). Thanks for the heads up and good to know recurring alarm works!

Yeah, the problem is I disabled the recurring alarm because the alarm clock bug apple had 2 months ago only allowed single day alarms.

I'm tempted to write my own alarm clock app if I find £60 to renew my old dev account, at least I'll know it'll work.

Heh I had wondered why my gf iPod touch alarm hadn't gone off at 8am this morning! Now I know why! Good to see apple can make alarm clocks hehe

This got me earlier - I finally woke up unassisted at 12pm :p Glad it was a Saturday.

Pretty frustrating that Apple can get so much right in iOS, yet not code an alarm that works reliably. Still, as has been said, it's much better than your texts randomly being sent to the wrong people!

So that's why I woke up at 1PM. I restored the bloody thing as well to see if it made it work. :o

My son has type one diabetes and is on an insulin pump. Because of this I have to check his blood sugar levels every two hours at night. I rely heavily on my iPhone 4 alarm. Last night went to bed with all my alarms set as usual. None of them went off. I woke up at 8 am in a panic not knowing what I'd find in my sons room. Thankfully he hadn't gone low in the night and died. Instead he was extremely high, which is also bad but not fatal in the short term. But still carries health problems.

:eek:

I know, I saw that too. The thing is apple, knew about this bug, they didn't give customers a head up and they wont be fixing it either. They just said they are 'aware' of the bug and that it will correct itself on the 3rd. Very bad customer care there. :mad:

<scary diabetes quote>

:eek:

I wouldn't ever trust something life-critical like that solely to a mobile phone. I'd have some sort of backup, e.g. a normal alarm clock set 5 minutes after each of the phone alarms :eek:

Still, you live and learn :p

Weird, mine worked yesterday but not today, maybe I just imagined it yesterday!

What baffles me is why it will work tomorrow but not today? What's changed!?
