iPhone and 12Month Contract?

Hi,

O2 always advertise the iPhone with a 18 month contract, has anyone been able to get one with a 12 month contract, and if so what was the deal you got.

I've had enough of my HTC Diamond, so going to ebay that, give my Orange Sim to the wife and get myself an iPhone, but don't want to be tied in for 18 months.

I run my own business so can also get business tariff's if there are 12 months business tariffs available.

O2 no longer do 12 month contracts on a personal basis (not sure about business), so you don't have a lot of choice.

Nope, they only do 18 month contracts on the iPhone.

They did do 12 months on retentions plans depending on what you wanted but for iphones it's 18 months only, they won't negotiate. It's 24 or 36 (!) on business iPhone tariffs. I had hell on to keep my existing discount deal when migrating my xda to an iphone tariff for my 2G and after that it took over an hour to get my unreg'd 2G upgraded to a 16GB 3G today in store.

On the Business 24-month contracts, you can upgrade half-way (i.e. at Month 12)according to O2 store advisors.
