iPhone and connecting it to another computer

Ok so I'm going away for a few days but I will not be able to take my plug with me however I will have the cable to hook it up to another computer to charge, but will this erase anything off my iPhone? I've heard in the past of people hooking up their iPods to other peoples computers and it erased all their music were they doing something wrong?

I never usually sync my iPod just use the traditional drop n drag so I've never had this problem until I realised you cannot do this with the iPhone.

Only if you click yes when iTunes pops up. So long as you don't choose to 'erase and sync' in Itunes you'll be fine.

Cheers for the reply, So if the laptop hasn't got iTunes will I still be fine?

Why not just buy a USB charger? They aren't iPhone-specific, any charger will work.

If there's no iTunes installed, it will just pop up in Windows as a camera.

If there is, it'll pop up as a camera and pop up iTunes. Just choose No when it asks if you want to set it to sync with that computer.
