First posting in the apple sections I believe, hopefully the right place.

I've searched the usual places but I'm coming up blank.

My wife's phone no longer stores photos taken or screenshots, she has an iPhone 14 which is updated and has 60gb used of 128gb so plenty of storage.

We've already performed a factory reset and restored her backup but this hasn't fixed her issue.

We did figure out that if we set the iPhone to a date in the future the pictures will save and appear in photos but this isn't ideal.

Tried installing a different gallery like Google photos but this made no difference.

Really struggling to find a fix.

We've not tried factory reset without restoring data yet but it did cross my mind.

She pays for extra iCloud so everything is backed up and visible on iCloud.com but not any new images she's taken since the 2nd December.

So what changed on the 2nd of December? Your storage isn’t full is it? Obvious question but its always worth starting with the simple things.

Other thing to try is signing in and out of icloud, but I would be thinking back to the 2nd Dec and trying to piece together what changed or happened then.

Phones connected to WiFi

When she takes a photo in the camera app or a screenshot the images aren't being stored anywhere, can't view them on the phone and when I checked via iCloud it's showing nothing new with the last images being from December 2nd.

Soon as she changed the iPhones date to say tomorrow and takes a photo, it'll show in her photo app.

What’s her timezone set to?

Apple webchat didn't help so they've booked her an appointment for Tuesday.
Did they not offer to remote into her phone and take a look? Or is that an AppleCare+ thing? Every time I've had software issues after getting past the initial first line person, I've usually had someone remote in and take a look.
