iPhone App, iTunes -> iPhone

As most people have the music in their iTunes and on their iPhone being the same (ie same metadata etc), is there an app that I can use to listen to something on iTunes and then seamlessly move to the local copy version on my iPhone, for example when leaving the house I would press a button and the music would resume in the same place on my phone.

Is there an app that can do this?

It works for podcasts when you sync the device.

I guess with songs being 3-4mins long it isn't expected that people would require this functionality.

I doubt you can do it without a Jailbreak and even then may not be possible.
