Some of my iphone apps, have just stopped working.
No changes since last they worked, bu the following apps just launches, then exits back to the springboard.
Facebook, Shazam and Fring seems to be the only ones affected.

Anyone have an idea why this might be?

Sounds like a classic case of the phone running out of RAM.

Do a forced closure of all apps (home for 10 secs), and then restart.

Open up a problem app and see what happens. If it still exhibits the same symptoms I'd remove and re-sync the problem apps.

Try deleting the apps and reinstalling you should be able to download them again,l and if youve paid for them they should be free second time around. I only get the big apps that dont start first time. but very rare.

Holding home didn't work :(
How do you delete the apps - when I sync via itunes, Fring and facebook has never appeared there. Any way to do it through the phones interface?

Hold your finger on an app until everything jiggles.

Then press the little "x" to delete each app.

The x doesn't come up for these apps, hence my confusion

Out of interest, are you running a jailbroken iPhone?

Not that it matters.. Go in to iTunes > Preferences and "reset all dialog warning" (it's an option in Advanced I believe)

Delete Facebook, fring and Shazam (and all other problem apps) from your iTunes library on the PC/Mac.

Now re-sync the phone and iTunes should say it's detected apps on your phone that are not on the PC/Mac.. "do you wish to transfer?". Select, no and iTunes will remove them from your iPhone in order to match your iTunes library (this is what you want).

Now download them on your PC/Mac and transfer them to the iPhone via a sync

Yes it has picked up the soap in Prison Showers :)

The problem apps weren't/arent in itunes, but this delete seems to have done the job.
