iPhone Apps

Hi,

Looking at developing simple iPhone Apps, one which can read RSS feeds, PHP web pages and YouTube accounts.

Can anyone recommend books or reading material for such a project?

I'm from a XHTML, CSS, MySQL and PHP type background.

How difficult would it be to develop such a project like the one mentioned in the first sentance?

Few apps out there which allow iPhone app development with only web based coding knowledge.

I know of a better one I have in work but I've forgotten it's name!

A friend was at SXSW and this guy did a presentation on iPhone, Android and Blackberry app making with HTML, CSS and JS.

The latest one was for a couple of guys down south who are really involved with the betting scene. It's called iTIP Football, and it gives you all of the latest betting tips for the different footie leagues etc (although i think they are only doing premier league to begin with). Tbh i dont really like the interface layout for it, but since i was making it to their specification and to a tight time frame I just did what i was asked.

So i made a platform for them and a backend administration system for them to keep the app updated with all of the latest content, nothing amazing, but it works well
