iPhone backup question

Hey,

The iOS5 upgrade ruined my phone and lost all my settings saved gamed etc.

Whilst i have a working update on the phone i would quite like to try and sort it out so it has all my settings etc!

If i get a phone backup from a previous hdd backup (located at c:\users\username\app data\roaming\apple computers\*.*?) and copy it to the current folder on my live system will that suffice to restore it to how it was? Bar photos/music etc? So back to 4.3.5 and then i'll try the update again.

Yes.

Although you should have a before-update backup on your live system.

There was a back up but it got overwritten accidently, because i was an idiot.

IOS 5 update wiped my phone back to factory settings! Lost everything off it! I am not best pleased as you can imagine :mad:

Just to say.. in case it helps anyone..

It worked, i replaced all the new backup files with the old ones (settings/apps/photos/videos) and that backup (which was done on 4.3.5) restored to the new iOS 5 handset and made it like it was but on iOS 5.. so there was no need for an interim 4.3.5 install.
