iPhone Battery Health

Not sure about battery life but try turning "location services" to off and "auto brightness" on.

Also if you are pushing email it'll drain the battery.

I have Push turned off I have location turned off and i even have 3G turned off and still my battery does not last more than 1 half days

Count yourself lucky, mine lasts about a day :D

I bought a dock for work, leave it in that most of the day now.

iPhone battery will last about a day of normal use, and 2 at a stretch on standby, 3G kills the battery, auto brightness is good, pulling messages down every 15 minutes will kill the battery, push is better than pull, Set the screen brightness to about 1/4 and turn off wifi when not used.

Since one of the recent updates, my iPhone can last about a week. Before it would only last 1-1.5 days. Push set to hourly, 3G on, wireless (only at home), Location Services on, Auto-brightness on (slider almost half way up).

Do you not use your iPhone?

2.0 or 2.1 was meant to increase battery life. Well it did on mine. Yes I do use it all the time, I use up almost all of my 600 mins per month and about half the allocated 500 txts. Watch the occasional movie, play games/apps etc 6 pages on apps that I use. eBay and MSN and GoogleTalk amongst other things. So yes I would say I use it lots. ;)

I cant believe it would last a week, even if it was on standby and not used at all. I use my 3G fairly heavily and have to charge it every night.

me think someone telling porkies....

Show us a screen shoot of the usage then that will show how long it been on standby since last charged otherwise your a Photoshop expert :p

Not really looked at the usage page. Will keep an eye on it now. Last time I charged it was Saturday and that was only a quick sync. So that has lasted till today lunch time with about 1/4 battery left. I did say 'about' a week. Maybe I should have said almost a week or a couple of days.

A screenshot would prove nothing as I posess photoshop skills :p

I would say that increase in battery life was not immediate, it was more of a gradual increase. Plus I normally let the battery get to its 20% warning thing then recharge fully. Unless I need to sync. I do know if use a internet radio app it pretty much flattens my battery.
