Hello all

Sorry in advance if this has been posted already (I did search but could not find anything)

I have just tried to switch my iPhones bluetooth on and send some pictures from my mac mini. I have already added this as a paired device however when I switch bluetooth on on it searches for ages and finds nothing. As I said the mini is already paired, however when I check this on my mac I can see the iphone was paired but is showing as 'not connected'

I then try and send the file anyway and the mac comes up with message saying: 'the device does not have the necessary services'

Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so how did you get round it?

Cheers in advance :-)

I have some bad news.......

..... you can't do file transfers over bluetooth with the iphone

Indeed the bluetooth is only for things like pairing to play games from the app store and hands-free headsets. No file transfers im afraid.

I must admit, it's the main thing that was putting me off the iphone but I ended up getting one anyway. TBh it's something I only usually use every few months. I'm not trying to justify it, it IS really bad not having that feature and there is no excuse for it but there you go.

They dont have the feature so people dont bluetooth music from one iphone to another I would guess :) I think they would prefer they pay to download them from iTunes :p
