Hi guys,

I got my first iPhone about 6 weeks ago, after about 2 weeks it occured a problem, the vibration had got very loud, when tapping the phone on a hard surface you could feel it rattle and also shaking it something was loose.

After travelling twice to the Apple store thats 1 1/2 hours away I got it swapped out, my new 3GS has inherited the same problem though. Something is loose again.

If you get your phone and tap it gently, the front on a hard surface it should be a solid bang when it hits, but this phone is a rattley bang (hard to explain). I'm very peed off actually and not sure what to do. I've already wasted time/petrol/money driving to the Apple store ( I don't have one near me ).

Has anyone had the same problem? I must admit, I'm quite a perfectionist, if something has a fault it really bugs me, it might not bother others.

Let me know if anyone else has a similar issue..

My dad has a 3G and he's a builder; it's seen a fair few knocks already and is still working fine. Though personally I don't rate them, he loves it.

The rattle you hear is actually normal, i have it on my 3GS.

If you search google you will find 100s of people with the same problem.

I think it's the auto focus of the 3GS, if you turn your camera on it goes away.

I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.

Makes me feel better that. Cheers :D

yer that was the point the alu had to be scrapped due to them wanting GPS on it. The 2g had no issue with WiFi, it worked fine.
