Hi

Is there any way to make the iphone set default reminders for appointments on the iphone ala blackberrys/winmo as i'm constantly missing appointments or running late because i never get reminders so have to look at ical all the time which is becoming increasingly frustrating

It's possible on the iPhone, but you can't set/edit reminders on MobileMe

I have submitted this "feature" to MobileMe, but haven't heard anything. It's quite infuriating you can't set reminders on the web.

Unless I've misunderstood you can set alerts on entries to your iPhone calendar.

Yup you can. It's called Alert and is the 4th entry down on the Add Event page.

Yeah, I know it can do that, but I want to set a default reminder for say an hour for every appoinment like I can on outlook/winmo/bb, it's just such a needless hassle to have to set it manually every time on the iPhone.

I also am starting to miss the bb homescreen summarising appointments/emails. Think I'm realising that awesome as the iPhone is that it's fundamentally a smartphone for music/Internet/SMS/social emails, but not ready for business use just yet.
