Hi guys,

I have about 11gb of Photo's from my iPhone, ever since I first got an iPhone I have regularly copied and pasted the photos from the phone into a folder on my PC so the pictures go back to 2009.
I want to now sort the pictures out but have noticed going into the details of the picture (right click > properties) there are no details such as the time the picture was taken etc. Is there any software that can retrieve this info? Even the date created/modified has now changed to today's date.

I'll be really annoyed if I can't retrieve this info.

I use the Camera+ app rather than the stock camera.

Cheers

That's a bit of an oversight if it doesn't!

I had always assumed windows properties looked at the XIF data for the pictures but maybe worth downloading a dedicated XIF viewer to see what's there in full.

Before iOS4, EXIF data was not stored in any image saved to the camera roll (unless taken with the default camera app). I.e: any picture saved within a 3rd-party camera app (Camera+, Hipstamatic, etc.) contained the EXIF, but this was lost when saved to the iPhone camera roll.

iOS4 APIs allowed this, but I don't know if and when Camera+ started doing this.

You may just have no EXIF/metadata in those pictures. Have you tried looking at a recent one?

Not sure why the modified date is changing. A file copy will always be created with the new date, but the modified date is usually unchanged...?
