iPhone case

Am I right in thinking that the iTouch 1g is the same as the iPhone 2g and cases should be interchangeable with the exception of the camera (which is too poor quality to use anyway)? My old case died on my and it's hard work finding a case for the 2g, most are for the 3g/s and have those clips at the side so won't fit...

I could be wrong, but I thought that the phones were thicker than the ipods and therefore the cases were not interchangable.

They're all different, only a 2g iPhone case will fit it. Have a look on iWorld they've got loads of legacy iPod gubbins.

The only cases which are compatable are 2G and 3G iPod Touch cases.
