Hi,
I'm an iPhone noob and want to know how to sort my contacts out. I imported the contacts from my Sim which were already in a big mess. I have decided to tidy up and manage all my contacts using Google and this is now in the state I want. However when I sync it imports all the new contacts from Google but I am still left with loads of rubbish from the Sim import.
What I would therefore like to do is to wipe the iPhone contacts completely then do a sync and import purely what is in my Google contacts list.
Is the easiest way to do this to perform a phone Restore using iTunes, but without Restoring the backup and treating it as a new phone in iTunes? I assume all my apps / movies etc will remain in iTunes and I can configure what I want to share again and all should be good in a few minutes?
Is there any disadvantages / risks in this approach?
Cheers
Mark
