I don't think anyone has posted this in here yet so I'll let you all know.
O2 have recently created a new Simplicity contract for iPhone contract customers who are coming to the end of their contracts. It's £20/month and called "O2 iPhone Simplicity 20" and includes 600 minutes, 1200 texts, unlimited data, free wifi (The Cloud & BT Openzone) and visual voicemail. It's almost identical to the standard Simplicity 20 but you get to keep your iPhone features. They also offer a £30 version with more minutes and texts.
You need to be an iPhone contract customer to be able to get this deal, however if you are already on Simplicity or a Pay as You Go customer with an iPhone you may be able to get this deal, speak to the customer service representative. You also need to be near the end of your contract (1 month or less remaining).
To get this deal dial 2302 from your O2 iPhone and then navigate the menu 2 > 2 > 1 > 2 to get through to a person. You want to ask to change to a different plan and mention "O2 iPhone Simplicity 20 or 30" the person you speak to may not know what you are on about but should be able to find out for you. You'll be put through to customer retentions who will sort everything out for you.
It takes a couple of days for it to go through and you may lose visual voicemail temporarily. You will be billed as normal for the month and then get a refund from the day you switched.
Hope this is useful for some people, I know a lot of people were thinking of switching to O2 Simplicity anyway to tide them over until a new iPhone launch, this deal is better because you effectively pay £15 less each month but gain 700 extra texts and lose nothing.
NOTE: It doesn't matter where you got your iPhone from originally, as long as it on the O2 network you should be able to switch to this plan. My 16GB Black iPhone 3G was obtained through the Carphone Warehouse (the only way I could get it on launch day) but I deal with O2 directly, the Carphone Warehouse does not have any say in the matter as my contract is with O2 (although they are free to try and sell you what they want)..
