iPhone data counters

Does the iPhone have a notoriously inaccurate data usage indicator, or does Orange? I've used a good 20% more data according to Orange than the iPhone counters (sum in&out). What gives?

Had the same thing with Orange.....does my head in.

Im on PAYG and at this point rarely switch on data as I have no idea how much I have used without calling Orange support. The amount of times my credit has been wiped is not funny.

Why the hell don't they txt you saying you have 5MB left or something.....thieving scum.
