iPhone Data Disabling help!

Hello all,

I'm going on holiday to Mexico on Thursday and I need to disable any data usage so I don't get charged an extortionate amount of money on my contract for roaming.

How can I ensure that I do this successfully?

jailbreak it, and get bossprefs

It is jailbroken, and I'm sure I installed bossprefs, in order to put customize on it? What's the latest version?

Just use the option: Settings --> General --> Network --> Data Roaming (set to off)

Worked a treat when I was abroad last month. I reset the data counter before I went and it didn't move from zero

As above - this is included as a feature to stop you running up large bills.

If you want to disable it in the UK without jailbreaking, you can just mis-spell your EDGE settings. add a - to the end of the APN or something.

Don't forget to set the mail checker to "Manual"

Just incase you forget / don't set the data roaming to off.
