iphone dead pixel policy?

ive noticed recently a dot appear right in the middle of my screen. 'tis quite annoying when watching iplayer (i do every night.) It was not there when i first got it else it would have gone straight back. (and yes its a pixel not some fluff )

Its still in its 1year warranty period, but i got it on the apple shop online not a retail store. Wondering how they handle issues like this?

I would imagine they will replace it on the spot at the Apple Store. They replaced mine (under warranty) for a single speck of dust under the screen, so I don't see how this would be any different.

would i need to take the box etc etc? (nearest iphone shop is like an hour away so obviously i dont want to turn up and be told to go home!)
