Iphone dock?

Hi, I have a question for people that own the iphone 3g - does it have the same connection as the ipod touch to fit on to a speaker dock?

Need a new mp3 player and looking at the ipod touch but my phone contract is up for renewal soon and wondering whether i should hold out...

They all use the 30-pin dock connector, depends if the dock is big enough to fit the iPhone 3G which is slightly bigger then Touch AFAIK.

Hold out until January 5th if you can NuTz.

If a newer iPhone 3G is out, it'll be announced then.

Also, the dock comes with adapter plates that accommodate the different devices (the connector is the same, but you need an adapter to beef up the base if using a thinner device)
